PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The goal of this enduring activity series is to help HCPs ensure optimal patient outcomes in outpatient management of COVID-19 infection by increasing understanding of the need for early diagnosis and intervention for patients at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This program is designed to meet the educational needs of primary care physicians, internists, pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician’s assistants, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in outpatient management of COVID-19 infection and potential complications of disease in at-risk populations.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon the completion of this program, attendees should be able to:
- Assess the latest guideline-recommended best practices for diagnosis of COVID-19 to reduce the risk of serious clinical consequences
- Summarize current updates concerning appropriate use of therapeutics for COVID-19 management in high-risk outpatients based on current data
- Evaluate current clinical criteria for selection of appropriate patients for COVID-19 therapeutics through a shared decision-making approach
